Salum Mehboob

Salum Mehboob is an information and communication technology graduate who specialises in mediated content development especially creating virtual environments, virtual classrooms, and integrating technology into education systems. Salum is an adaptive individual who can work in any environment but is also versatile and flexible. 

Salum has worked for both government and private sectors which helped him gather more experience from both sides. As the government sector Salum worked at the Tanzania Revenue Authority- mwanza branch, as for the private sector he worked with Unoplast and Kesh Distributors Limited. 
Apart from professional career Salum has volunteered for both profitable and non-profitable organisations. With profitable organisations being Auvionics and SIMBA net, and non-profitable being we hold a hand and Tunaweza. 

Salum is a person who has an interest in learning new cultures and new things, he enjoys traveling as in gives exposure and new experiences,  he keeps pets and is a sports person salum plays six sports that are football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, darts, and cricket.

During my time at Auvionics and also Simba Net since both are companies that deal with internet service provision I became the youngest assistant technician in networking especially point-to-point setup, fiber optic cables set and ethernet wiring, but also in hardware and software maintenance. 
As for Tanzania Revenue Authority, I was among the team members of the selected few IT department members who were delegated with the task of ensuring a smooth organisation transition from analogue way of service to digital way of service including documentation. At UNOPLAST mwanza branch i became the youngest sales and marketing officer for Lake Zone to be able to double my customer's business in the company's product whilst doing research for the Lake Zone market and becoming head of my own department.  At Kesh Distributors Limited I began my work as a sales Representative for the whole of Lake Zone and ended up becoming the branch general manager in one years time.
